Recovery Housing Approved For Nanaimo

The Province is changing a planned supportive housing development at 250 Bryden Street in Nanaimo into a recovery-oriented housing project, creating 50 substance-free units for people recovering from addiction who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. City leaders and the Newcastle Community Association say the move fills a gap in the housing continuum and responds to years of local advocacy for recovery-focused housing.
